Fractional Ownership Progrramme
ABA Fractional Ownership Programme enables companies to operate their own executive jet on a time-share basis.
Benefits
In today's world of ever more crowded airports, increased road congestion around these airports as well as long delays for check-in and security, flying for either business or pleasure is becoming a time consuming chore.
A successful business often depends on the efficient travel of its executives and senior management. Efficient travel saves time and therefore productivity and travel by air is usually the only way to do this.
In the era post 9/11 many companies have turned to owning and operating its own executive aircraft as an essential alternative to using the airlines. Such aircraft can operate out of smaller airports much closer to origin and final destination many of which have dedicated VIP facilities which allow executives to be driven straight to their waiting aircraft and to be met in a similar way at their destination.
As attractive as the end product is, most businesses feel they are too small to justify sole ownership of an executive aircraft and, even if they could, how would they manage it? This would require hiring and training a pilot, maintenance, scheduling, management and so on. And, so whilst the idea may be very enticing, the cost and organisational hurdles put many companies off.
As part of its "Management Mobility" programme Atlantic Bridge Aviation is introducing an affordable fractional ownership programme which will allow smaller companies (and well off individuals) access to executive air travel at a cost and with a management package virtually impossible to better. The aircraft are flown and managed by LyddAir Limited a JAR-OPS-1 scheduled airline operating under strictly maintained very high standards.
An example is given on a cabin-class Piper Chieftain executive aircraft
capable of reaching most places in Europe in fast comfort.
- Piper Chieftain Cabin Class Executive Aircraft seats 4 - 6 in comfort.
- Shares sold in blocks of 12.5% (minimum). Each 12.5% tranche costs £25,000
and must be held for 5 years when it can be sold at present market value.
Maximum shareholding is 75% at a cost of £150,000.
- Each 12.5% entitles the owner to 40 days use of the aircraft, or similar
aircraft in the programme.
- Annual management fee is payable monthly in advance and is £12,000
for each 12.5% holding (i.e. £1,000 per month).
- Whenever you fly it is always at direct cost + 15% meaning your flights
are as cheap as possible. Typical direct hourly cost for the Chieftain is £457.
- The aircraft are based at Lydd and/or Le Touquet airports but can
be positioned anywhere within Europe.
A typical ownership would be 25% resulting in 80 days of availability and an annual management fee of £24,000. This package is ideal and very affordable for many small companies having travel needs from in and around Kent/East Sussex to other parts of the UK and Europe.
ABA has other aircraft in the fractional programme.
